TAYLOR Swift fans pulled out all the stops as they flocked to see her perform in the first UK performance of her sell-out Eras tour in Edinburgh.

Excited Swifties dressed up from different eras of her vast musical catalogue or were covered in sequins and glitter. Many of them spoke of having planned their outfits for almost a year.

Taylor, 34, will play tonight and tomorrow night at Murrayfield Stadium to more than 200,000 fans in the highest grossing concert tour of all time.

Fans have travelled from across the globe to see their hero, with many queueing from 3am at Murrayfield Stadium and braving all the elements.

But even a torrential downpour at about noon couldn't dampen their spirits. The fan at the front of the VIP queue was Amber Small, 19, who said she thought there would be lots of other people in front of her at Murrayfield.

She said: "We arrived at Murrayfield at 3am this morning but we weren't allowed to properly start queuing until 6am.

"It was very, cold this morning - we were shivering and it was raining but now it's getting a bit sunnier.

"I thought there would be lots of people before me - I didn't expect to be number one in the queue at all." A fan of Taylor since she was seven years old, she has previously seen her live twice.

Amber, of Aberdeen, said: "For my whole life, I've been the biggest Swiftie ever.

"I've seen her on her 1989 tour and her Reputation tour and then I was meant to see her Lover tour but it got cancelled because of lockdown.

"I think it's just seeing Taylor live - I've not seen her perform in over six years and she's brought out so many albums since then.

"I'll probably be in a state of shock when she comes out because it's just a bit overwhelming. I've dressed up as Speak Now, so I'm wearing a purple jumpsuit with a purple cardigan."
