THE Tartan Army have splashed out on more VIP packages than any other nation at Euro 2024 sparking hopes of a massive wave of support for Steve Clarke's boys.

Uefa tournament director Martin Kallen has revealed that Scotland fans have been spending "like crazy" on expensive hospitality packages in order to guarantee they'll see the three group ties in Germany, including a glamour tie with the hosts.

Scotland fans have been the biggest buyers of hospitality seats which are on sale for between £1493 and £2730 a head.

Kallen said: "The Scots have booked the expensive hospitality packages like crazy, more than anyone, just to be there somehow.

"There has never been a bigger run on tickets for any tournament."

He revealed that other nations were also spending big - but none as much as the Scots. He said: "Half of Switzerland wants to come, the Dutch are planning to come with all their camper vans, the whole of Slovenia wants to come.

"Look, if we can't organise a tournament like this in Germany, then where? When it comes to logistics and stadiums, Germany is better than any other country in Europe."

Scotland kick off Euro 2024 against three-times winners Germany in Munich on Friday June 14. It prompted a huge ticket scramble with Scotland's official allocation just 10,000 of the 75,000-capacity Allianz Arena. The official Scotland Supporters Club has 38,000 members.
