THE mum of an autistic schoolgirl who was beaten unconscious at a skatepark is planning to leave Scotland to protect her child's safety.
Abbie Jarvis, 13, was lured into the park before she was set upon by another girl that she knew from school.
The youngster was repeatedly punched in the face and kicked in the head after she was knocked to the ground in the vicious attack in Glasgow.
She spent two days in hospital recovering from her injuries in 2022- and has been suffering from PTSD since, The attack prompted the Daily Record to launch its Our Kids....
Our Future campaign in February this year after Abbie's ordeal brought to light a shocking epidemic of youth violence sweeping the nation. Our campaign, backed by Abbie's mum Angela, has repeatedly called on the Scottish Government to do more to tackle the issue, including demands for every community to have safe spaces for teenagers to go.
