Three people injured as attacking dog had to be pulled off collie

AN "OUT of control" bully-type dog which injured three people was shot multiple times by armed officers before it was killed.

Footage of the incident in East Kilbride emerged after gun cops were drafted in to deal with the animal which reportedly mauled another dog in Mannering, Calderwood, at about 10.25am on Sunday.

In a video circulating online, an officer was heard counting to 10 before horrified locals say they heard several blasts and a dog yelping. It is believed it was shot at least six times.

Three people suffered "minor injuries" during the mauling and an investigation is underway to confirm the dog's breed.
