JANNIK SINNER staged a stunning comeback to win his first Grand Slam and become tennis' new young superstar.

And the Italian, who came from two sets down to beat an exhausted Daniil Medvedev at the Australian Open, revealed: "I like to dance in the pressure storm."

The Russian world No.3 started superbly but he has now lost three finals here as he nears Andy Murray's unwanted record of five.

And world No.4 Sinner rediscovered the form which destroyed defending champion Djokovic to win a heavyweight-hitting encounter 3-6 3-6 6-4 6-4 6-3 in three hours and 44 minutes.

The redhead from northern Italy, who has a fan club called the Carota Boys, said: "It feels great.

I'm extremely happy how I handled things today. The situation on court was very, very tough.
