YOUSAF: I WAS CRYING ON THE SOFA & ALMOST IN A STATE OF BREAKDOWN

HUMZA Yousaf has said his mental health was so poor at one point that he was in a "state of breakdown".

The First Minister also revealed he didn't tell his then boss, Nicola Sturgeon, or cabinet colleagues because he was afraid he might lose his job.

In a podcast interview with former Labour spin doctor Alastair Campbell and ex-Tory MP Rory Stewart, Yousaf explained that he had felt so low that he did not move from his sofa for 24 hours.

He had previously told of how he had turned to counselling when he was health secretary but went further on The Rest is Politics show.
