Talent spotter Ange looks a Spurfect fit

WHISPER it, but it might be time to get excited about Tottenham again.

Nobody wants to be the one to say, ‘Ange who?’ following his success at Celtic, forcing critics and veteran radio presenters to eat their words over the past two seasons.

But the optimism around Ange Postecoglou, who yesterday signed a four-year deal to replace Antonio Conte as Spurs manager, is justified. His CV suggests a steady ability to step up a level throughout his career.

And his encyclopaedic knowledge of the transfer market could mean that instead of hunting in the bargain box yet again, Spurs could start thinking out of the box.
