JUDE BELLINGHAM took Zinedine Zidane's No.5 shirt - and even the Real Madrid legend couldn't have handled the occasion better.

It is hard to believe that Bellingham is just 19, Real Madrid's £88m new signing, and capable of wooing his new fanbase at the Bernabeu with such poise.

Being brave enough to wear the shirt of legendary explayer and boss Zidane (right) set the tone.

He wants to add to its history.

But he also addressed the pressure of his massive price tag, which could rise to £115m and see him overtake Jack Grealish as the most expensive English player.

He was even asked whether Real should sign strikers Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane.

The Madrid media and fanbase need to be won over no matter what the transfer fee or how big the name. Just ask Gareth Bale.

So there was a wise nod to history and being in a room with the 14 European Cups Real have won.

"They have made me want to win one," he said.
