DALTON SMITH will present the Lonsdale belt to his grandad if he wins it outright next weekend.
The Sheffield light-welterweight wants to give the famous strap to his biggest fan and believes it will take pride of place on his mantelpiece.
Avid boxing fan Brian Smith was the one who inspired his grandson to lace up the gloves and his favourite belt is the one given to the British title holder for keeps after three defence.
And Smith, 26, can achieve just that if he beats Sam Maxwell next weekend at Sheffield Arena.
