EDDIE HEARN is planning to transform his UK cards amid the Saudi revolution going on in the sport.
The Matchroom chief admits he’s having to rethink how his events in Britain are run as ‘Riyadh Season’ cards continue to take some of the biggest names in the UK and leaves him struggling to put on shows.
Hearn is working with other promoters – including former bitter rival Frank Warren – to stage shows backed by Saudi powerbroker Turki Alalshikh.
That includes the September 21 card at Wembley Stadium headlined by Anthony Joshua taking on IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois.
But Matchroom have put on just one show this summer on July 6 when heavyweight Johnny Fisher beat Alen Babic on a low-profile event at the Copper Box Arena in London.
