The slow decline of the Reds since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement has seen plenty of different managers take the hotseat at Old Trafford, many players come and go - but the one constant has been the owners.

For some time it has become evident that the Glazers should move on and although it does not feel like it at present, this is the closest United have been to it.

The strategic review announced last November saw two possible solutions to the ownership crisis at the club in the form of Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Supporters have their preferred options but there is a general consensus that anyone is better than the current regime.
