Aaron Evans shouted ‘get out of the car’ after he cut up the Mercedes driver, who was on his way to pick up his pregnant wife from Manchester Airport.
He then held the weapon up towards him before blocking the vehicle. As the man tried to move away, Evans, 34, ‘stabbed and slashed’ at the car, causing damage.
Having earlier admitted threatening a person with an offensive weapon and criminal damage, he was given a community order at a sentencing hearing yesterday.
Manchester Crown Court heard that the man was was driving along Leigh Road in Worsley, when Evans, in a Seat Leon, pulled out close to him near to a roundabout.
