The Kerala High Court in the case xxx v State and Another observed and has dismissed the petition filed by a victim of POCSO offence to quash the proceedings saying that serious offences are involved and the trial had reached at the end stage.

The court in the case observed that the accused is alleged of committing serious offences like aggravated penetrative sexual assault against the minor. The accused was the father of the victim.

The court accused him to have committed the offences from the period of April 2013 to February 21, 2016. The prosecution alleged before the court that the commission of offences under section 4 r/w 3, 4 r/w 3, section 6 r/w 5(n)(1), section 8 r/w section 7 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, POSCO.
