RESIDENTS in Efford say they have been distressed by a number of incidents in the area, including one which saw a naked man run into a woman's home.
Neighbours say they have been disturbed for months by "continuous screaming" and "distressing" scenes at respite homes in the grounds of Douglass House.
The properties, on Douglass Road, back on to residential streets and were built in 2023 by Plymouth City Council, designed to support adults with disabilities and complex needs.
Neighbours have raised safety and noise concerns over the properties, which provide emergency accomodation for people waiting for appropriate housing. The council has apologised for disruption in the surrounding streets.
Resident Katrina Whitehouse has lived in the neighbourhood for 38 years. She explained that the usually quiet community has had to "put up with continuous screaming" over the last six months.
