Fundraiser for farewell to ‘gentle giant' Adrian

A MUCH-loved Plymouth doorman described as the "gentlest" bloke you'd ever meet has died at the age of 69.

A well known face at many Union Street night spots, the legendary bouncer worked on the door of most of the city's pubs and clubs in the 1980s and early 90s.

Adrian Jarvis was from Elburton and worked as a window-fitter as well as being a doorman.

But in 2018, he suffered a stroke which left him disabled. Recently, he died aged 69, leaving family and friends heartbroken.

Long term friend, Michael Whitlock, aged 63, got to know Adrian from the nightclub scene years ago.
