Henderson hopes Tavi benefit from further loan agreements

TAVISTOCK head to Evesham United tomorrow in Southern League Division One South, but they will be missing the talents of Joe O’Connor and Mitch Beardmore, who have been recalled by parent club Exeter City.

Henderson hopes Tavi benefit from further loan agreements

The City youngsters have been outstanding for Tavi since joining on loan – O’Connor also spent all of last season at Langsford Park - but they are set to move up level and join Tiverton Town in the Premier Division after showing they are more than capable of handling men’s football at Step Four.

It is a blow to Tavi as their arrival saw a huge upturn in form that has seen them go from the bottom of the table to the fringes of the play-off zone, but a situation manager Stuart Henderson understands and accepts as the Lambs boss – himself a huge advocate of youth football – knows it is for their benefit.

“They will be a big miss for is and although selfishly, it would have been great for them to stay, for the benefit of their careers, they need to go and play regular football at the highest level they can, whether that is Step Three or seven Step Two and we understand that,” Henderson said.
