Mandip Gill is leaving Doctor Who behind and heading to a very different alternate reality. Yaz, the sparky, all-action companion to Jodie Whittaker's Time Lord, is several dimensions away from her new thriller Curfew, where men are locked down each night, and her character Sophie is no hero.
The 36-year-old stars in the new show that lands on Paramount+ this month alongside Sarah Parish and Mitchell Robertson and says she'd "never read anything like this before". It is set in a Britain that has brought in a curfew on men from 7pm to 7am to protect women, but then a horrific murder committed during the curfew changes everything.
