Drivers go green

FOR generations of drivers, bright green cars have been a big no-no - but now green means go-go.

Official figures show there has been a huge surge in sales of once-naff lime-coloured motors.

And celebrity petrolheads such as Jeremy Clarkson are leading the trend.

Other stars snapped in the luridpainted cars include former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona and Towie favourite Mario Falcone, who both have Lamborghinis.

The number of green cars registered each year has shot up from 17,000 to 58,000 over the last five years.

Their owners are said to have a love of nature because of the colour's association with the environment.
