NHS IS BACK TO THE 'DARK AGE'

A LEADING health charity warns Jeremy Hunt has put the NHS on a crisis footing, plunging it back into the dark ages of austerity.

The increase in spending promised is just 1.2% in real-terms over the next two years – not the 3% the Chancellor claimed in the autumn statement, the Health Foundation calculated.

Waiting lists would rise and performance fall, the charity warned.
