Travel without moving
Teleporting is the act of transporting a person or object from one place to another, without actually travelling through the space between those two points. In the TV show Star Trek, when members of the crew on board the starship Enterprise want to travel somewhere, they can be “beamed” to a different location in moments. This style of teleportation works by recording the information of every molecule in someone’s body, transmitting the information, and then reassembling all of the molecules at a different location.
