Peregrine Racing India, is one of the Premier Karting teams in the country which rose to great heights within a short period of eight years. The team was started in 2016 by Madesh Lakshman, the father of two National champions, Rohaan and Ishaan, when he found the dire need for professional facilities, coaches and infrastructure including well-prepared karts, to groom youngsters which were not easily available in India at that time.
"I was looking for good coaches and support facilities and I realised that things are not very professional here. So, I took the help of my Malaysian friends to support the racing career of my boys. That is how we started Peregrine," said Madesh Lakshman, the backbone of Peregrine, who mentors the newcomers along with Sharita Lakshman and other parents and team members.
"Later, I felt that there is a lot of talent which is unable to bloom for lack of facilities. Likeminded parents joined us as I mooted the idea. So, I decided to start a team and help other young motorsports athletes so that we can provide the potential champions basic facilities to help their talent blossom. It is just the initial thrust so that they can graduate to international racing," the Team Principal, Madesh, revealed his passion for promoting motorsports.
