Audi's new Q4 e-tron ticks all the boxes in an urban, everyday SUV.
ELECTRIC ESCAPADE

The market is becoming quite saturated with electric SUVs. The advent of affordable, high-quality Chinese imports have ignited local demand for vehicles that shy from fossil fuel, and are environmentally friendly.

This has also come with a lock-step upgrade of nation-wide roll-out of more charging points. The writing is on the wall that electric vehicles are not only here to stay, but will be a game-changer in many ways.

The Volkswagen group has been a little slow to the party, but one of its brands in the family have been leading the charge. Audi's electric vehicle range has shored up the German car maker's stand on the issue, and its efforts at introducing new EVs isn't letting up.

The new Audi Q4 e-tron reinforces the brand's commitment to building versatile, all-rounder cars for functional, sustainable use, yet giving drivers the thrill of high performance and luxury.

The car is offered in two versions - advanced and edition 1, with both producing maximum output of 210kW and torque of 545Nm.

Striking proportions are evident from the short front overhangs, large wheels, and powerfully toned muscles. Lines are precise, and the surface treatment is clear and pared back. The brand's progressive design is typically Audi, as functional as it is aerodynamic as the Q4 e-tron achieves a drag coefficient of 0.29.
