Mitch Evans Secures Victory For The Third Time

With the inaugural Jakarta E-Prix, Mitch Evans secured his third victory of the season for Jaguar TCS Racing.

Lined up third on the grid after the semi-final Duels, the hottest race of the season so far saw the 27-year-old Evans hold his position as the lights went green. Overtaking António Félix Da Costa, he took on Jean-Éric Vergne and Edoardo Mortara in an intense and strategic battle for the race lead. With six minutes left, Mitch daringly overtook Jean-Éric Vergne to move back into first place of the Jakarta E-Prix, holding the lead until the chequered flag fell. Securing the fastest lap of the race with 1:09.786, the Kiwi demonstrated the pace of the Jaguar I-TYPE 5 in very challenging conditions.
