DEEP DIVE DUBAI

NADINE KANSO

CREATIVE DIRECTOR, BIL ARABI

I find immense joy exploring the galleries in Alserkal Avenue (pictured left), my favourites being Lawrie Shabibi, The Third Line, and Ayyam Gallery.

I always make a point of savouring a manousheh paired with a fragrant cup of coffee before I start exploring.

The Odd Piece is a must-visit for its eclectic furniture while Cinema Akil offers an unparalleled movie experience.

TAMARA BARRAGE

ARTIST AND DESIGNER

Sitting between Downtown Dubai and Dubai Festival City, Dubai Creek Harbour is a little haven in the middle of this busy city. It's a beautiful, calming spot that includes a walkway and a huge green space where I go for strolls while chatting to my parents.

LOBITO BRIGANTE

DJ AND FOUNDER, ELECTRIC PAWN SHOP

Mokha 1450 (pictured here), a beautiful little spot on AI Wasl Road, is known for serving speciality coffee with a strong Ethiopian influence. As a collector of Ethiopian jazz and funk music, I like to organise music there. One of its top baristas. Joe, is a close friend and dub music connoisseur, so we always discuss music. Mokha 1450 is like a little spiritual hideout for me.

WASEEM ABDUL HAMEED

PARTNER, RAVI RESTAURANT

Dubai Mall is my favourite place in the city. It's a testament to Dubai's grandeur, but what really sets it apart for me is its aquarium. This underwater world holds sentimental value as it used to be my first born's bedtime refuge. The mere sight of those enchanting creatures would lull him into a slumber. Dubai Mall, with its precious memories, will always be a cherished spot for me.
