Autism-Friendly - Amusement Parks Everyone Will Love
Travel And Tour World|April 2023
Going on rides and enjoying cotton candies in a park are always great fun. But for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), it can be overwhelming to navigate a big park. While many parks offer special events catering to autistic kids, some parks have special provisions to make an inclusive environment for all.
Autism-Friendly - Amusement Parks Everyone Will Love

Theme parks are often noisy and teaming with visitors they often make it challenging for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) to visit. Fortunately, due to growing awareness, there are now quite a few autism-friendly theme parks and attractions in different countries of the world. With more inclusive entertainment options the theme parks are paving the way for the differently-abled guests to spend time close to nature.

We know planning a day for your little ones can be a challenge, so we’ve pulled together a list of kid-friendly attractions they will surely love.

Below is a list of amusement parks that cater to the needs of special kids. You can also get a peek into some of the best activities and experiences your little one will participate in and enjoy.

Aquatica Orlando

Aquatica Orlando is the world’s first autism-certified water park offering specialised services to differently-abled guests. It recently bagged the certification from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), which is a new feather in Aquatica’s crown.

The staff here is specially trained for catering to children with ASD. It includes program development, motor skills, emotional awareness, sensory awareness environment and communication and details about autism.

The park has a Quiet Room (with adaptable lighting and plenty of privacy) and a Low Sensory Area to provide every family with a pleasant and memorable visit to Aquatica Orlando.
