Fashion label AK-OK by Anamika Khanna stirred up the fashion industry this season as the opening show of FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week. The designer launched her eagerly anticipated menswear line in addition to the eclectic sequence of women's clothing.
Day 1 of FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week 2022 showcased fashion maestro Shahab Durazi's collection, emphasising and highlighting timeless fashion by blending the legacy of his label with contemporary haute classics. Swapna Anumolu's 'Form and Feeling' collection exhibited a charming ode to festive wear. A diverse range of personal aspects inspired the beautiful assortment of forms and colours. Actor Mrunal Thakur was the showstopper and looked stunning in a rich magenta lehenga, choli and dupatta trio, heavily encrusted with tonal 3D floral appliqués. Shalini Jaikaria and Paras Bairoliya's brand Geisha showcased 'Luminescent', a collection of chic and elegant cocktail gowns and evening wear. The sheen-heavy colour palette and fabric texturing evoked visions of a moonlit night and star-spangled sky. The fashion week's first day was wrapped by Shantanu and Nikhil's grandiose 'Capella' collection, enlightened by the magnificent artefact from the Baroque Era's chandelier. Bollywood's ravishing diva Kriti Sanon made a grand entry, looking breathtaking in an exquisite white bridal lehenga.
