The new Prince and Princess of Wales are arguably more popular than ever. Stepping up to the plate in their new roles, it’s no doubt they are wowing their audience.
But behind the closed doors of their new home, Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, they will be breathing a huge sigh of relief.
For I can reveal Kate and William have been hugely nervous about their recent tours, including the one stateside, especially after the truth bombs Harry and Meghan detonated against the Royal Family, not to mention the Netflix trailer that cruelly landed as they were embarking on their Boston tour.
A US trip was always going to be a big deal. It marks the first official royal visit since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex accused the Firm of racism, misogyny, neglect and more, and the prince and princess have been naturally worried about being booed or even accosted about some of the claims.
America has become the Sussexes’ kingdom, after they settled in Montecito, California, and began to build a media empire as content creators. And a mini-tour to Boston put the spotlight firmly on Kate, future queen consort, as opposed to ‘Princess Pinocchio’, as some have dubbed Meghan.
While I’m sure Kate may not view it as such, both women now have very different, distinct brands.
