It's been five months since he left ITV and This Morning after more than 20 years at the helm. But now, after keeping a low profile since his departure, is Phillip Schofield finally ready to return to TV? The veteran presenter, who previously admitted, 'I don't know even remotely how I move forward - what am I going to do with my days?', is now said to be plotting his comeback. A source explained, 'Phil has really kept his head down since he left This Morning. Losing his career in a matter of weeks hit him hard, and he needed time to recover.
'Even now, everything is still very raw for him.' They added, 'But in the last few weeks he has begun to entertain offers and consider what his next steps might be.'
But after his dramatic departure from ITV following his confession of an 'unwise but not illegal' affair with a younger colleague, plus losing some industry friends such as former co-host and best pal Holly Willough by, what's Phil's next move? With a television career spanning more than 40 years, it's unsurprising that Phil isn't ready to throw in the towel just yet, with a source saying, 'He spent decades as one of Britain's most popular broadcasters, and his TV career is not something he wants to just walk away from.'
