Twenty five years ago, Amanpulo—the first ultra luxury island resort to open in the country—welcomed its first guests. We couldn't think of a better cover story destination for this issue on inspiring journeys than the pristine paradise on Pamalican Island in Palawan as it celebrates this milestone. When you go for a swim in Amanpulo's spectacular waters, it's not uncommon for endemic species like giant hawksbill sea turtles to swim serenely alongside you, undisturbed and completely at ease in their natural habitat.

Stephanie Zubiri-Crespi, herself an advocate for environmental preservation, was a perfect fit for cover girl—photographed for our pages against Amanpulo's world-renowned powder white beaches.
