CHARTING A COURSE FROM DREAM TO LEGACY
Sailor Today
|October 2024
The Mariners Cricket Club (MCC) in Singapore is far more than just a sports club; it serves as the anchor for a community of sailors embarking on a journey of unity and sportsmanship.
From its humble beginnings as a small group of cricket enthusiasts to its evolution into a multi-sport and socially active collective, MCC has become a beacon for mariners and their families, guiding them toward camaraderie and shared purpose, both on the field, at sea, and ashore.
SETTING SAIL ON A DREAM
MCC's voyage began when a handful of mariners dreamed of forming a society that could serve as their safe harbor - a place where they could dock their busy lives and engage in the sport they loved most: cricket. They envisioned a vessel that would carry the maritime community of Singapore through calm and storm alike, united by their passion for the game.
In 2006, a fresh crew of young mariners came ashore in Singapore and took the helm to turn this vision into reality. The Mariners Cricket Club was officially launched, setting its compass toward the goal of promoting cricket as a way to bring mariners together.
