The West Coast Tracking Project, started by the Atlantic Salmon Trust in partnership with Fisheries Management Scotland and Marine Scotland Science, has entered its third year.
-
It aims to garner information about the movements of smolts around Scotland's west coast. In the past year, 331 acoustic receivers have been used to take a closer look at the behaviour and transit timings of smolts in sea lochs.
