Early summer heat and potential shortage drive 20% sales spike across Gujarat

AC Sales Soar as Temperatures Rise

As temperatures began climbing unusually early from mid-March, signaling the premature arrival of summer in Ahmedabad, sales of air conditioners witnessed a dramatic surge.

The electronics market is bracing for a price rise of 5 to 10% for air conditioners. This anticipated rise stems from ongoing geopolitical tensions that could disrupt the import of AC components such as compressors from China, which currently holds around 25% of the market share.

Retailers estimate business worth Rs 800-1,000 crore this year from AC sales across Gujarat.
