LOVE SPLIT CAR THUG IS SPARED JAIL

A THUG dodged jail yesterday after driving his car at his sister’s ex.

David Devanney, 35, drove towards Jamie Seery after they clashed in Motherwell.

Seery had been in a relationship with Devanney’s sister Amy but they had gone through an “acrimonious” split.

The men confronted each other in September last year before Seery allegedly produced a weapon which prompted Devanney to get back into his car.

He then mounted the pavement and struck Seery and knocked him back 10ft.

Police were called and Seery was taken to hospital where it was discovered he had avoided serious injury.
