Janssens landed the prestigious six-trainer, six-race shootout at the Birmingham track two years ago and has been well backed this week to win again, displacing his former boss Mark Wallis as favourite after the teams were announced and ‘jokers’ played.

Points are awarded in order of finish – 10, 7, 5, 3, 2, 1 – and each trainer can play a joker for double points, with Janssens opting for his Premier Greyhound Racing Oaks champion Druids Say Go at one of her favourite tracks.
