Trump win worries Asia climate advocates

Climate leaders and energy experts in Asia reacted to the implications of the reelection of Donald Trump, saying his presidency may result in the abolition of domestic programs of the United States addressing climate change.
Trump has promised to rescind unspent funds from the Inflation Reduction Act, which promises $400 billion for climate change mitigation, such as funding for clean energy.
He also previously expressed his desire to roll back US President Joe Biden's green incentives, boost fossil fuels and walk away from the Paris Agreement.
Asia climate leaders said that strong progress of clean energy makes the energy transition inevitable, and accelerating renewables and cutting reliance on fossil fuel energy is in every nation's self-interest.
