Nicolas Pizarro

Nicolas Pizarro is a Mexican showjumper who represents Mexico on the worldwide stage. Nicolas competed in the 2012 Olympic Games on his ride, Crossing Jordan. Nicolas continues to compete at the top of international showjumping. His three current well-known rides are La Petite Fleur 6 (Lexion/Romino), Temascaltepec (Balou Du Rouet/Bachus) and Carquilot (Carinue/Quilot). He also runs a successful yard, Cuadra Macaria in Mexico, which he took over from his grandmother, who originally ran the facility as a stud farm.

Background

Nicolas has ridden since childhood and has been operating as a professional for the past 20 years. Today, Nicolas divides his time between being a professional showjumper and a coach at his stable yard, Cuadra Macaria. He competes in North America throughout the year.

Crossing Jordan (Champion Du Lys/Calypso II) was an instrumental horse in getting Nicolas exposure to the international showjumping scene. Crossing Jordan has now been passed down to Nicolas’ son to ride.
