A South African breed to be proud of.
The Nooitgedacht horse, bred for his hardiness and good character, has fast become a game-changer in the modern equine world. Originally, the focus was on breeding a good solid farm horse who fitted into our country’s needs, and this solid foundation for these animals created all the good characteristics of the Nooitgedacht horse as we know him today. Purpose does change in a modern world, and horses have gradually become more for sport than for labour. The showing division and various other disciplines have created a demand for a certain ‘type’. The Nooitgedacht has no doubt evolved with the times and is in no way inferior to some of the internationally favoured breeds.
