I was lungeing a young horse wearing my hat, boots and spurs. The horse bolted and I tripped over my spurs running after him. I fell flat on my face in front of my bosses, and got a black eye.
My time-saving tip on the yard…
Always carry a hoof pick. We have an invisible hoof pick thief at our yard so if you don’t have one in your pocket, you’ll waste 20 minutes looking for one.
