With over 17 years of experience in various forms of digital art, Joshua Eason’s career began with a degree from Savannah College of Art and Design after previously working in live events and production. These days he channels his knowledge of digital art into his role as an interactive designer at MEPTIK, an Atlantabased experiential design studio.
He has also committed much of his time to learn from and training others to use CGI tools like Notch, disguise, and Maya. With such a variety of projects in his day-to-day work, 3D World jumped at the opportunity to catch up with Eason and find out more about a day in his life as an interactive designer.
08:00 am I would have been up for several hours by this point, and I’m typically finishing up helping my wife and kids get ready and on their way to daycare. Suddenly I’m scrambling to get ready myself so that I can attempt to beat Atlanta’s infamous traffic.
09:30 am If not travelling to a specific job site, I will just be arriving at the office and making my first cup of coffee. After chatting with my coworkers about some crazy things my kids said the night before, the team and I round up to discuss the day’s plans.
