Getting started in the hobby came naturally. Ignacio explains, “I like the rat rod approach, because you can express whatever’s in your head. The end result is fun to drive and you don’t have to worry about using it.” This is his second build, and he still owns his first: a ’29 Model A Ford, also done in rat rod style.
With the Model A complete, Ignacio was looking for a second project when he discovered this partially completed truck, built by a friend who wasn’t able to finish it. The cab is a ’47 International KB-Series, popular on 10-wheel flatbed trucks. The chassis is a ’93 Dodge D250 ¾-ton, single-rear-wheel frame. Ignacio saw the potential, bought it, and began the refinement process.

Torque: Rotary Diesel No Pistons Needed
Building a diesel engine that does not use traditional pistons may seem odd, but in today’s modern age of high efficiency, low emissions, and weight reduction, an engine with a nonconventional rotor may be the key to things to come.
