The Best-laid Plans Can Be Waylaid if a Better Alternative Comes Along …
Sometimes it just doesn’t matter how organised you are, how much research you’ve done or how well you’ve planned some-thing – fate can intervene and turn things upside down. For 43-year-old Sydneysider Jimmy Alameddin, that meant he ended up with an entirely different bike to the one he planned to buy. No small change of plan!
“I’ve been around bikes my entire life,” states Jimmy. “I was ready to buy a bike. I was originally going to buy a CVO Breakout but when I got to the dealer someone had taken it out for a test ride.
The sales guy suggested I take a V-Rod out for a spin while I waited. And I thought, ‘why not?’.
So, due to a clever salesman and a little impatience, Jimmy’s original plan to buy a traditional Harley Davidson went out the window. Jimmy’s story continued, telling us that he initially left the dealership on the V-Rod at 1.15pm, only to return at 3.30pm. Understandably, the salesman was pretty concerned, asking, “Where the f... have you been!?”.
