Back in the day, or more like your dad’s day, Volvos were pretty cool cars that became quite sought after.
One of the most popular model ranges was the 120 Series, which makes sense as it’s production run lasted from 1956 through to 1970. In the 80s they weren’t as robust and the styling was rather square, so these days fans of the Swedish brand don’t bother restoring or modifying them, well none that we’ve come across yet in SA. Volvo 122S owner Jimmy Tebbutt thinks the same. He made it his mission to have a super clean, feature-worthy Volvo 122, and that’s exactly what he’s got. The man was also spurred on after seeing one in another magazine that he thought shouldn’t have been there, his image of a feature car far exceeded what he saw, and so he made sure his version would be even better – and as you can see from the pics, it certainly is!
