Like many other people, Russ Walker has only really become involved in the Volkswagen scene over the past four or five years, but since then, he’s never looked back. And he’s spent much of that time secretly lusting over a split screen bus of his own. Not just any T1 panel mind you, what he wanted was a rat look stealth camper with a big motor in the back.
“My first VW was a T6 camper conversion that I had built to order by Vision Tech Automotive at a cost of £72,000. Don’t get me wrong, it was great, but I started visiting VW shows & festivals and my eyes were opened to a whole new world of interesting and unique vehicles. All VW’s are the same, but they’re also all very different. It really is a way of life... I soon upgraded the still newish T6 to a twenty-six-year-old T4!
“It’s a curious view of what constitutes an upgrade, but there’s a lot of folk out there who will agree with Russ.

Lance & Lisa Beaver tell the story of their...‘Old School' Westfalia Bay
The history of our bus is varied. I heard that it used to belong to a soccer player who lived in it for a while, and a tale of a cross country trip that was taken in it. Since we’ve owned it, we have been to numerous car shows with our car club Kahiko Kula and enjoy that immensely, but taking it camping is our joy.
Messing About in Boats
