With its elegant, powerful lines and Superform construction, Bentley’s New Continental GT combines exquisite aesthetics, performance and also cutting-edge technology, embodied by the industry-first rotating display.
SOON AFTER ITS GLOBAL LAUNCH, Bentley’s highly anticipated new Continental GT arrived in Hong Kong and quickly became the talk of the town.
The all-new Continental GT has been highly praised ever since its global launch and is the pinnacle of Bentley’s design and engineering achievements, marking a historic milestone for the brand.
Sculptured aircraft from
Crispin Marshfield, Bentley Motors’ Exterior Design Manager, shared details on the car’s many inspirations while also describing the journey the team took in evolving Bentley’s famous design DNA.
Every Continental GT requires input from almost 1,000 Bentley craftspeople, each spending around 100 hours. The team has created a car that brings together innovative British design with state-of-the-art technology to define a new standard for luxury Grand Tourers.
Marshfield revealed how the design team was inspired by the Spartan Executive aircraft of the late 1930s, a truly timeless design that used flowing curvature framed by sharp, powerful lines.
Bentley employed the same philosophy in the New Continental GT by using Superform technology, an aerospace technique that works with aluminium heated to 500°C to allow designers to invoke more complex, sharply defined body lines and a deeper, sculpted haunch muscle.
The new Continental GT is the first production car ever to have an entire body side made from the Superforming process, ensuring a style that is taught, athletic and graceful.
