The Telangana Industrial Health Clinic (TIHCL), an initiative of the Telangana state government to handhold MSMEs from slipping into sickness, has during the last 2 years, enlarged its footprint, extending help to the stressed micro and small manufacturing units in Telangana. The NBFC, which has Microsoft as its technology partner uses its i-Health application, which facilitates entrepreneurs owning sick units anywhere in Telangana to access the firm and answer a checklist, based on which TIHCL decides whether an enterprise is fit for revival or not. The firm had received 220 cases and 67 units were selected for offering revival package. TIHCL handholds all the units for 1 year or till such time it feels that they are following regulations well and are fully recovered. In doing so, it could restore livelihood of 1800 persons to normalcy. Banking Frontiers brings 4 case studies where the assistance provided by TIHCL could make a sinking firm a viable operating unit.
