– $8 billion bonus for business events

Australia's Investment Boom

‘Over the next two years several major expansions and new developments will open their doors, taking Australia’s capability for hosting business events to a new level, with an infrastructure of world-class facilities.’

The Australian hotel industry is responding to continued record international visitor demand with a high level of hotel investment – more than $8 billion.

Tourism Accommodation Australia has identified 228 hotel projects (34,702 rooms) under construction, either approved for development or in advanced planning stages, in seven Australian capital cities.

This is in addition to the billions being invested by Australia’s major cities into the lucrative business of hosting corporate events.

Over the next two years several major expansions and new developments will open their doors, taking Australia’s capability for hosting business events to a new level, with an infrastructure of world-class facilities.

Australian cities know that by investing in purpose designed international meetings venues event bookers will be confident there’s an industry leading space that has the capability and experience to deliver an impressive event.
