The Australian hotel industry is responding to continued record international visitor demand with a high level of hotel investment – more than $8 billion.
Tourism Accommodation Australia has identified 228 hotel projects (34,702 rooms) under construction, either approved for development or in advanced planning stages, in seven Australian capital cities.
This is in addition to the billions being invested by Australia’s major cities into the lucrative business of hosting corporate events.
