INFRASTRUCTURE IN TRANSIT

Tell us something about the journey that led to the formation of the company. How has the business evolved from then to now?

There are a lot of companies involved in the logistics business, but we realised that most of the players were too focused on traditional goods transport, which were shipped in containers and didn’t require much planning or care across the route. Yet there were companies that required special handling for unique machinery and materials that weren’t suitable for traditional cargo services. We decided to put our attention towards fulfilling this niche of the cargo forwarding segment, which led to the rise of Arikas Logistics. Today we handle end-to-end pickup and delivery of all sorts of over-dimensional goods and equipment for various large scale projects related to infrastructure development and other fields.

Tell us something about the services that you offer across various segments. What do you think is the USP that helps you stand out from the competition?

We provide specialised cargo transportation services for heavy and over-dimensional equipment, for a variety of industries. We also handle integrated project logistics management, along with FCL, LCL and air cargo transportation. In addition to the transport of said cargo, we can also handle the paperwork involved with transporting different types of goods, including but not limited to customs declaration, letters of credits, certificate of origin, fumigation, insurance, inspections and legalisation. This helps in making us a one-stop-shop for all our client’s needs. We consider this to be our USP, since a lot of other players rely on the clients to do most of this work beforehand, or rely on third-party operators, which can be timeconsuming and unreliable as well.
