If Akaash Vani and Kaanchi: The Unbreakable were downers, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 salvaged him. It was the runaway success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety last year, which vindicated the actor as a bankable star. His monologue in the two films has now become iconic.
