Shraddha Kapoor reveals her fitness mantra to Suman Sharma.
Shraddha Kapoor thinks fitness needs to be made mandatory in every sector whether it is office, home, film, modeling, school or college. Being an actor, looking good on screen is the number one prerequisite for the job. Shraddha understands that and says her father Shakti Kapoor has been her number one inspiration. “Papa has always maintained himself, so we always had healthy food cooked at home and everyone was health conscious. She says she never went to the gym in her teens. But was always involved in sports right from her school days. “I always took part in athletics. These games are challenging and necessary for an active body,” she explains. Later, she developed a yen for adventurous activities like scuba diving.
She’s a hard-core foodie. Her dad is a red-blooded Punjabi and mom is a Maharashtrian. So her food palette is both varied and abundant. “I can’t resist Maharashtrian style rawa fried fish, jalebis and kacchi kairi,” she reveals. And adds that dieting isn’t necessary, but yes, one needs to control the diet, she cautions promptly. Eat right but don’t diet is her mantra. She feels dieting is not necessarily about losing weight. It’s more about eating healthy.
