Raghuvendra Singh touches base with Delhi boy Aashim Gulati, who made his debut with tum bin 2.
Aashim Gulati is currently living his childhood dream. People have warmed up to the newcomer after watching him in his debut Tum Bin 2 (TB2). “It’s been exhilarating. I’ve been getting good feedback. People say, given my ease before the camera, I don’t look like a newcomer. It’s inspiring to hear that,” he beams. He adds “It’s a dream debut. I couldn’t have asked for a better film, a better director (Anubhav Sinha) or better producers (T-series),” he says of Tum Bin 2.
Aashim came to Mumbai four years ago from Delhi. He landed several prestigious commercials. Later, his character, Neel Gujral, in the TV show Gulmohar Grand, was much liked. In the course, he even auditioned for Shekhar Kapoor’s Paani though nothing concrete emerged out of it. “That was my first experience of auditioning for a film. I must have given 10 tests in these four-five years. Yet, I believe there’s lot more I need to work upon.”
